Dont Mess with Texas

Just returned back from a short trip to Texas for the weekend to visit Joe. Aww Man the weather down there beats this cold New England weather. I needed sometime to relax and have some Me Time. I promised myself I would make more time myself this year instead of being the crazy work-a-holic I tend to be!!
It was a great weekend- We spent alot of time down at the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Great food, Great drinks and Great company w/ Joe.

Also wanted to let everyone know that I am working real hard this next week on getting your books + orders out to you!!
Just wanted to share a quick pic of us out in town. 5 more weeks and he'll finally be home!!!!

Road trip

Going on a little road trip this weekend to VT. Heading to visit some friends & help with wedding plans. Besides working on wedding plans there will be lots of relaxing, drinking red wine and walking the pooches before we get hit with the Nor'easter. VT is always a place for me to get away from my craziness world. I mean I can't even go shopping- I think the nearest shopping plaza is an hour away.

I will respond to all emails and calls when I return on Tuesday. O- And by the way my phone died on me, I think its time for a new one ; )
Just want to end this post with a song I found + thought it was appropriate for this weekend!
Check out the lil video!!
I just love it.
Have a good weekend!

We surprised him with having his Dad, Debbie and his 2 brothers to join us for the weekend. It was an emotional one that day. Here are a few images of the weekend and a quick Slide show. Guess you can say this was one of my Love Operation Reunited!! Congrats Joe- We are all so proud of you and wish you the best!!

Manchester Rd Race

Hope everyone had a great holiday!! This year my Mom + I ran the Manchester Rd Race. We met up with some friends before the race for a lil Thanksgiving Cheer. Jordan's Gramma made some hot choc w/ peppermint schnapps + Bloody Marys! Yummy! As the rest of the gang was enjoying there drinks my Ma was all anxious to get the the starting line. It was her first race and boy was she nervous. I should have been, I haven't been running at all and my knee has been bothering me. This year at the Race there was about 11,0000 runners/walkers! It was amazing to see so many ppl around routing you on, bands playing as you run by, all raising money for charites, which by the way they raised about $90,000 to donate to different charities!!How awesome is that? Just wanted to share a few images I took while running with my point + shoot.
I think we are going to make this a tradition from now on!!

Cheers! All the guys dressed up as super heros!!

Best of Luck to you Joe. We all know that you are a hard worker and know you will succeed in your career choice!! Gonna miss you but will see u sooner then you know it!!!

Operation Love ReUnited

I recently just joined this charity program called Operation Love ReUnited. OpLove is a program where
photographers offer complimentary photography sessions to deploying military families. This session focuses on deployments– before and more importantly, after, at their reunion when the deployment has terminated and the soldier is safely home– usually in an airport. I think this is such an awesome program!! There are no words to express how u feel when seeing your husband, bf or the one you love come home for the first time from being away for such a long period of time. To capture the emotions, the tears of joy + memories for our troops to keep with them while being away is soo meaningful. I know I would probably be crying behind the camera as I'm photographing all this happening right in front of me. [ I get a lil emotional with this stuff. ]
So photographers out there sign up for this if you haven't already!! And for all my readers out there if you know anyone who's husband, family member or even a friend is across seas and want to do a session, let me know! We can do some pics and send them over to them!!
God Bless + bring our troops all home!

taking a deep breathe

Ever feel like there isn't enough time in a day to get everything done? I do. With wedding season in full-swing lately I have been a Busy Beee- Buzzinnnnng around on location and not putting time aside for me! I'm the type of person that I need to be out working or doing something. I think I have become a Work-a-holic!! ahah Yesterday I was on the road most of the day thinking about things + how life is sooo short to sweat the small stuff. I went over my parents to have dinner + to celebrate my mom's bday. On my way home I stopped to visit some friends who have been wondering where I disappeared to. After some veggie pizza on the grill + talks about what we all have been up to I mentioned I need to get going to finish editing my events.... alot of work to do. "Stacey- when are you gonna make time for yourself every now and then? There's always tomorrow to finish ur to-do list!" "I will I will when I'm all done w. work." We all started chatting about how life passes us by so fast and we don't even realize it. We all get caught up + never take time for ourselves... So I'm going to make a personal goal for myself- I'm gonna try really really hard to be a Normal Girl for one day a week and have Me-days!!! Not be in front of the computer all day/night. Just be the lady I am- where I let my hair done + do what Normal Girls do- beach it up, go out w. the ladies for martinis, laughing till my stomach hurts, have a movie night (shhhh- I always fall asleep to movies)... just have fun! So I'm gonna learn to say No and enjoy life's lil adventures!
I have to say that I have been happier then ever lately now that I finally went full time with my photography business!! Things have been great. A special thanks to my Family, Friends + especially my Clients. You all are Oh Soo Super Fabulous! And I couldn't have done it with out you!! So here's to u + me enjoying life!! CHEERS!!

Tour De Cure

I wanted to share this email I received from a friend who has accepted the challenge of cycling 100miles for the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure....
Ed has 2 little boys who have been effected by diabetes. The Brooklyn Boy Riders are looking for donations of any size, or people who want to join their team!!! I will most def be contributing to this cause!!! Check out the sites below to see how to contribute!
Good Luck guys!!!

Dear Friends and Family,

I recently accepted the challenge of cycling in the American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure fund-raising event. The Tour de Cure is a series of cycling events held in over 80 cities nationwide. The Tour is a ride, not a race; it features different route lengths from a leisurely 10-mile course to a demanding 100-mile journey. I have joined thousands of others to pedal in support of the Association's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

I am asking you to help by supporting my fund-raising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of more than 20 million Americans who suffer from diabetes and another 54 million people in the United States with pre-diabetes.

Any amount, great or small, helps in the fight against this deadly disease. I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress. If you want to do even more to help, please consider joining me in this great event. Our efforts will help set the pace in the fight against diabetes.

More information on the American Diabetes Association, its programs and diabetes in general can be found at the Association's Web site: http://www.diabetes.org/

Know your neighbor night

So last night I volunteered at a event with my friend Jessica. She works for Pernet, which is a neighbor-based home health and social service agency. They held a "Know your Neighbor Night" event. This event was held for residents of the Green Island neighborhood of Worcester, MA .The goal of this event was to bring local residents together to express their feelings and concerns about their neighborhood. We provided the child care for parents while they had their discussion upstairs. I figured since I'm a photographer why don't we do a photo booth with the kids. So we brought some costumes for the kids to dress up in. These kids had a blast with the photo booth!! They kept saying "Let me see what I look like." And I would show them the back of the camera and they were like, "Lets do it again"! Look how cute they are!!

And of course we had some fun too!!!

Racing Season has started!!

So when I'm not out shooting a wedding or a lifestyle session I hit the woods shooting my Lil Bro James (Buddy) racing dirtbikes. He rides for Netra, which is trail riding for dirtbikes! The season just started and I love going to the races!! We make a day of it..lots of people, lots of food & drinks of course!!!! The most nerve racking part is when they first take off.... AWWWWW as my Mom is biting her nails, Paula & Mandy are clenching onto me. Great hide behind me!! I'm getting down & dirty on the trails hoping I don't get hit by a bike. Here are some highlights from last years races! This season is going to be awesome!!
Good Luck James, Steve, Jimmy, Jay & Josh (if you ever get your bike started) just joking ;) & the rest of the gang!!! U all ROCK!!

A day in the life of Ella

So I've been out shooting more for myself lately and of course Ella (my pooch) is a great model. Even though all she wants to do is jump in all puddles when we're walking or in swamps, I still get some good shots of her. Today was an AWESOME day!! I cant wait for the nice weather!! I went for a walk with my friend Michelle & Ella. We went to Hartford. Here are some that we shot.
